BIOL 427 - Exercise Physiology3 credits Exercise Physiology is a field of applied physiology that examines how exercise alters physiological systems both acutely and chronically. Knowledge of exercise physiology can be used to develop a greater understanding of how physiological systems maintain homeostasis. In this course, you will the learn the basics of fitness assessment and exercise prescription. This course will additionally highlight how chronic adaptations to exercise reduce disease risk and alter disease pathogenesis. Prerequisite(s): BIOL 341
PHYS 101 or PHYS 211
