ENSC 321 - Geographic Information Systems3 credits This course presents the principles and application of geographic information systems (GIS) for students in a wide range of disciplines. Students will investigate the two primary GIS data models and databases used in preparing maps to address geographic questions. Lab activities will provide students with hands-on contact with GIS software products used in the analysis of geographic data, and use of web GIS platforms in data visualization and communication.
