CRMJ 421 - Critical Intersectional Issues in Criminal Justice

3 credits


This course examines the criminal justice system and related components through an intersectional lens.  Students will analyze and examine intersectional concepts, theories, and approaches as it relates to the crime, criminal policy, and the criminal justice system. Emphasis will be placed on how social constructs such as sex, gender, socioeconomic status, ethnicity, and religion, interact with crime, crime policy and criminal justice system.​ Prerequisite(s): Prereq CRMJ 101 , or permission from department chair.
