This catalog was published March 2021 in Toppenish, and is subject to change as needed. Current information is available from the Academic Affairs Office, Heritage University, 3240 Fort Road, Toppenish, WA 98948, (509) 865-8500.

The Heritage logo was designed by Sister Terry Mullen, Sister of the Holy Names of Jesus and Mary (SNJM). The trees and mountains symbolize the rural environment of the university and the appreciation of natural beauty that characterizes the multicultural population of Central Washington. The circle symbolizes the unity and mutual concern the university, as a community of learners, strives to enhance. The vertical split in the circle represents each individual who, through education, discovers and develops unique talents in order to achieve full human development. The Heritage motto is “Knowledge brings us together.”

Dear Heritage University Students,

Congratulations on taking steps toward building your future through education! As a student, you join thousands of others who helped shape this institution and who have transformed their lives through their Heritage experiences.

The university is known for its mission and dedication to living that mission, which includes the following:

High-Quality Education: Heritage will challenge you with mind-stretching, horizon-broadening experiences through classwork, homework and practical experiences in the workplace.

Accessibility: Heritage adapts the delivery of our educational programs to meet students’ needs.

Inclusivity: Heritage believes it is vital to the future of our world to reverse the historical underrepresentation in higher education and community leadership of some cultural and socioeconomic groups. Each student’s cultural background is viewed as an asset to the educational process. Learning with people from other cultures, ages and backgrounds is a treasured feature of the Heritage experience.

Overcoming Educational Isolation: Heritage is especially committed to bringing higher education to those unable, in the past, to participate. Removing barriers is a core goal in our day-to-day decisions.

You are entering Heritage at a special time. It is a time of change and growth as we expand our campus, enhance our academic programs and enrich student experiences.

Your life, and the lives of your family and community, can be transformed by your Heritage experience. You have extraordinary capabilities that will unfold as you take risks and challenge yourself to new heights of thinking, speaking and writing in the Heritage University learning community.

Welcome!
