CRMJ 371 - Interpersonal Communications in Criminal Justice

This course is designed to examine the dynamics of professional communications, and major theories about interpersonal process and their relevance to issues within the criminal justice system. Topics will include: verbal, non-verbal, and written communication, civility, public perceptions, crisis and mental health intervention, ethics, conflict resolution, and sensitivity, decision-making in a multicultural society. Prerequisite(s): ENG 101
