BIOL 512 - Foundations of Personalized Medicine10 credits This one semester course will provide students with a biopsychosocial foundation useful in medical, dental, pharmacy, physician assistant, optometry, or podiatry school. Students will learn key concepts in human interaction, conversation, conflict resolution, teamwork, leadership, patient safety, patient advocacy, intervention, and pharmacogenomics. The biopsychosocial aspects of health and disease treatment will be emphasized. Content is presented via lecture, lab, faculty directed self-study, clinical case vignettes, and interactive learning sessions. Offered Spring semesters.
