BIOL 505 - Medical Skills and Theory I4 credits This course will introduce the students to the medical theory and specific skills required to perform a complete medical history, a focused history of the present illness, and a screening, or general physical examination on patients. They will also learn how to accurately and clearly document their findings. Specific attention will be paid to gathering information about a patient’s family medical history, their activities of daily living, common laboratory screening tests, and a complete review of systems. Offered Fall semesters.
