The program is designed to do the following:

- Apply current research and instructional strategies designed to increase student achievement of all English language learners in schools, with the effect of closing the achievement gap
- Receive training on pedagogy that fosters equity, inclusion, and empowerment of students, parents, and the overall community
- Plan, implement, and manage appropriate instructional environments that provide the necessary curriculum adaptations and modifications to ensure student success
- Produce a qualified candidate with a bilingual endorsement or equivalent
- Meet OSPI and state standards for teaching bilingual education
Note:
*Bilingual Education Endorsement
