MATH 321 - Statistics3 credits Students will study statistical topics specific to the STEM disciplines, including discrete and continuous random variables, sampling and sampling distributions, confidence intervals, inferences based on single-sample and two-sample hypothesis testing, analysis of variance, linear regression theory, chi-square tests, contingency tables, and nonparametric statistics. Offered spring semesters of even-number years. Prerequisite(s): C or better in MATH 322 , C or better in MATH 221 , or permission of the instructor.
