ED 346 - Methods in Language Arts: 3-52 credits Students will address what is needed in the realm of language arts for students in grades 3-5. This course emphasizes the writing process, six-trait writing, vocabulary development, and comprehension strategies. Elements of literature across the genres and modes of writing are an integral part of this course. Participants will address ways to assess reading and writing performance and to work with students who have reading/writing difficulties. The state’s grade level expectations will be an integral part of this course. Field experience required. Offered Spring semester. Prerequisite(s): Field experience required.
