Investigation of structure determination, mass spectroscopy, infrared and UV-Visible spectroscopy, nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy, benzene and aromaticity, electrophilic aromatic substitutions, aldehydes and ketones, carboxylic acids and derivatives, amines. Laboratory emphasis on synthesis and instrumentation. Offered spring semesters. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 310. Co-requisite(s): CHEM 311L.
