ART 406 - Personal Iconography (Printmaking)3 credits Self-portraiture is a common theme in art history, throughout time. Historical and contemporary examples of how artists have chosen to present themselves to the world will be researched and discussed. Students practice the tradition of self-portraiture using both representational and symbolic methods. Introduction to the concept of the print matrix as a personal library as well as introductory book-making practice is introduced. Materials fee. Prerequisite(s): ART 112
