Organizational Leadership with ProTeach Portfolio Support: 32 credits 4
The Master of Education degree in Organizational Leadership with ProTeach Portfolio Support is a broad-based program of advanced preparation of master teachers anticipating a career of leadership in and beyond the classroom, and/or educators who wish to pursue graduate study in their specialty area beyond the bachelor’s degree.
Degree requirements include 26 core credits in the areas of educational foundations, effective teaching, and classroom leadership, focused on student learning, research and best practice, parental collaboration and responsiveness to diverse community interests, school improvement planning, and educational technology. To provide additional opportunity for professional growth and development, a 6-credit segment is designed for the residency certificate for teachers who need to obtain professional certification. Faculty will work intentionally with students to assist them in meeting the portfolio expectations of the state’s ProTeach Portfolio.
