Applied Computer Science, B.A.

This baccalaureate degree program provides the knowledge and skills necessary to work in the information technology industry. Students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Applied Computer Science must complete the following courses:

1. General University Course Requirements: 43-45 credits

Note:


(18 credits may be applied to both the GUCRs and the major)

4. Second 1-year programming sequence: 6 credits


5. Elective & Upper-division Electives (as needed): 27-33 credits


Minimum total credits 126, including 48 upper-division credits


Optional Business Minor for Applied Computer Science Students: 19 credits


In conjunction with the business program, applied computer science students can earn an optional minor in Business Administration by completing the following sequence of coursework:
