Students will examine the views of nature and the environment as seen by selected writers, poets, and essayists. A key to understanding contemporary attitudes toward the environment is through exploring its literary history. Topic include deforestation, air pollution, endangered species, wetland loss, animal rights and consumerism. Prerequisite(s):
