PSY 524 - Counseling Skills3 credits This course introduces and provides foundational education in core counseling skills from therapeutic listening and empathy building to client concern conceptualization, crisis management, and culturally competent care driven from a cultural humility and social justice paradigms. This course is experiential and aimed at helping counselors develop a foundation as strong, effective therapeutic agents for their clients.
