PSY 549 - Family Systems3 credits Prepares students to be effective counselors across a variety of family and relational configurations. Students will explore how families form their core identities, as well as family traditions, values, racial/cultural/ethnic characteristics, and beliefs. Also explores how disruptions to the family unit, such as chronic mental illness, trauma, and loss, can impact the group. Prerequisite(s): Admission to MMHC program
