HIS 499W - History Capstone3 This course provides a platform for students to demonstrate their mastery of the historical discipline. Students will begin the course by asking a significant historical question before proceeding through the steps of producing a conference-style research paper based on original research: analyzing historiographical trends; establishing a bibliography by gathering and sifting primary and secondary sources; creating an outline by analyzing, ordering, synthesizing, and interpreting evidence; generating a historical argument and writing effective analytical narrative; and presenting their research in a public forum. The capstone course also provides students with formal and informal opportunities to reflect on their experiences of the Heritage University History program. Offered Spring. Prerequisite(s): HIS 322W
