ENSC 420W - Environmental Monitoring3 credits Quantitative analysis of environmental parameters in air, water, and soil. Field sampling techniques include high-volume air pumping through absorbent cartridges, aqueous grab sampling, soil core sampling, and use of personnel monitors. Lectures will emphasize the theory of various monitoring techniques and will include quality control, standardized procedures, analytical interferences, and data interpretation. Offered alternate spring semesters. Prerequisite(s): CHEM 105 or , MATH 221 , ENSC 101 ENSC 305 or permission of Program Chair. Co-requisite(s): ENSC 420L .
