ED 367 - Writing Across Content Area2 credits Teacher candidates will analyze the Common Core State Standards vertical progressions for writing and their relationship to content area practices in Math, Science, and Social Studies. This undergraduate methods course will engage candidates with the most effective research-based writing strategies and their applications in content-area classrooms. Particular attention will be dedicated to culturally sustaining practice in writing, differentiation for English learners, and effective accommodations and modifications for special needs students. This course may be offered in face-to-face, synchronous, asynchronous, or hybrid formats.
